What Filling Machines Are Available?

There are several types of bottling tools that can dramatically cut down on filling time. Machines such as piston fillers measure and dispense liquid products into containers. This is typically done by signaling a rotary valve to turn so that the hopper fills a cylinder with the appropriate amount of contents. The rotary valve then turns again so that the measured product flows from the cylinder to the desired container or bottle. Some machines come with heated hoppers and many of them are operated using either a floor pedal or a control panel with buttons. Each filling machine is suited for a different viscosity, but most can be adjusted to customize piston speed and fill level. Machines with no-drip options ensure that no amount of product is wasted.

Lip balm filling trays are an easy way to fill lip balm tubes without wasting your product. These trays usually come in kits that include plastic scrapers to quickly and evenly remove excess contents from the tops of tubes. Sterile transfer pipettes can be used to distribute small amounts of liquids. These come in sterile bags to ensure that the pipettes are not contaminated before opening. Pipettes and droppers are typically made from squeezable, durable LDPE plastic.
